I no longer commute each day through th beautiful Peak District National Park, but make frequent trips to Northumberland, Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Norfolk coastal locations. I believe I now have a style and technical workflow which can just about be replicated if the weather cooperates, which means I can concentrate on the smaller details without worrying too much about the technicals.
Having said that I am going to challenge myself to take more natural history and macro shots this year, just to keep the learning process going.
I'm also hoping to start a photography based business as a side line. Watch this space.. Going Digital Yorkshire photography courses
Here on DPC I have learnt to be selective in the challenges I enter. No longer do I produce 'spur of the moment' or 'last minute' entries. I work through my ideas and only enter if I can achieve the shot I want.
My targets for 2008:
Score an 8+ image - I am going to do this, one day;-)
Start a photography based business
Increase my ribbon count by 8
Get a 6.2 average score rating (held over from 2007)
Enter 52 challenges in 2008
