Hey Alex, I just saw you got 'Runner Up' for this image in 'living the Landscape' section of Landscape Photographer of the Year 2009. Congrats my friend, very much deserved.

If anyone wants to see the other images in this comp then take a look at //www.take-a-view.co.uk/2009_winners.htm

Keith

btw - check out the 'Broads Authority – Best image' ;-)
Still chasing you as usual !!

Nice natural abstract. As with any frame some will like it, some will hate it. This sort of frame will always lose you a certain number of points on DPC as the haters will mark you down, but the lovers won't mark you up.

Nice idea, but the sky has been over exposed quite badly. My eye wanders up from the girl into that white space. The eye always goes to the lightest part of a photo, use this to pull the viewers eye to where YOU want it to go. Compose the image so the lighter areas are around the main focal object.

Not sure what processing you have used here, but everything looks blurred or liquified. All the fine detail has been lost.

Not much you could do about it, but the background really kills this excellent action shot.
