    Biography: I've been taking photos digitally for a little over three years. Someday -- I hope to do it well. I make no pretense about doing something that's never been done before -- but I do try to choose things I personally haven't done before.

    DPC is a remarkable source of talent and inspiration and the nature of a challenge forces me to get up and/or out and make more photographs. If a photo I enter is something you've seen before in concept, I at least hope the execution is new and perhaps engaging. When I fail at that, comments and scores are appropriately doled out reflecting as much. I like that perhaps most of all ... ribbons are cool and if someday I earn one, I'll doubtless be delighted. But ribbons are no substitute for the simple realization that an image either works or it doesn't.

    I wouldn't have it any other way.
