 Orbs! Do you see the orbs? They're everywhere! (I think it's just crud in the air, which is everywhere here, too.)

This is the intersection just over the wall from my back yard, more or less. Yes, it's a bit noisy here. Fun to shoot, though. Three shot HDR, processed in Nik HDR Efex Pro with my favorite preset (something called Granny's Attic). Note that the orbs don't show up as well in the single images... not sure why. Perhaps they're shy?

Anyway, after the aggressive tone-mapping, I used a preset in Nik Color Efex (Pro Contrast) which nicely de-yellowed the image (the night lights are VERY yellow and I forgot to play with the white balance while shooting).

This most likely doesn't fit anyone's idea of a "city scene" but it isn't exactly rural either, is it? "Neighborhood Nightscape" perhaps?

I like the design of this -- the angle and the curves and the perspective. Might be a little rude to say, "Nice orbs." Congrats on the pink hand and the high score. They don't usually go together.

She pretends to be the casual photographer. But this is quite advanced. The scene explodes from the frame. Cutting shapes and dazzling colors. This is expressionism.

Yeah yeah! I was glad to see a shot that showed a city scene without using the skyline. I really loved the words at the bottom. Congrats on 14th place!

Nice! The non-vertical composition, the beautiful lens flare top-left, the splotches of color from the traffic lights, the random lines on the road/sidewalk/underbridge - a weird combination that works well for me. A sort of fully intended randomness to the pic.

I love the breaking of the rules in this picture, the lack of thirds, the angles and lines going everywhere, the confusion which gives the whole. Even the flare adds to this. Lovely interpretation.
