First, thank you for all the kind words. I'm new to the site and I've enjoyed viewing great art from so many great artists. Regrettably, this photo will be disqualified since I don't have the RAW file, EXTERNAL hard drive issue, my fault, you live, you learn. I do have the JPEG after being processed without any edits, but I certainly appreciate and understand the need for rules. I will continue to participate in challenges, even in my short time here, I believe DPC has made me a better artist. I do regret I have to start off in such a manner, but it can only get better. Thank you again for all the kind words.

Let me clarify, I took the photo in RAW, converted it to JPEG using Photoshop Elements so all I have is what was saved after the conversion, don't think this will work....
Disqualification Details
You must retain your original, unedited file (exactly as recorded by your camera), and provide it to the Site Council along with a list of your editing steps within 48 hours of any validation request. Files that have been saved or altered with any editing or transfer software are NOT originals.

I'm sorry this got DQd and very sympathetic as to the reason. It's still a wonderful shot and you have the satisfaction of the voters' acknowledgement of that.

It's an easy mistake to make when you are new - the rules seem complicated at first and as you will see, there are still mistakes made by more experienced members. You impress me by how you are reacting to the DQ - as impressive as your beautiful image really. I expect to see you back on the front page soon.

I'm really sorry to see this DQ, but nothing takes away from the artistry of the image. ;-)

So did you reformat the card since you took the picture? If not you may be able to recover the RAW.

My guess is that it will not be acceptable. I was under the assumption that you had shot in both RAW and JPG (as some of us do) and that you had lost the RAW only. Write to the SC anyway, I am sure they will try to help you.

Added some clarification, I captured in RAW and then converted to JPEG and saved the file. I had the RAW file and JPEG file at one point, one was on my hard drive and the other on the external hard drive. I have the JPEG after the conversion from RAW to JPEG (without any further edits), but I don't' think this will work after reading the rules. Let me know if I'm reading this wrong - thank you for commenting!

Splendid composition, mood, and tones; an image after my own heart. I've been back way too many times...I want this in my office, let's swap prints! A top pick for me.

I thank you with a Sterling Sturgeon

it is somewhat blown out, one may say, and yet you took care to leave the rider's shadow. I like your accuracy. (not voting).

Back to comment...

And when that fog horn blows I will be coming home
And when the fog horn blows I want to hear it
I don't have to fear it

And I want to rock your gypsy soul
Just like way back in the days of old
And magnificently we will flow into the mystic

It's always good when an image makes song lyrics pop into my head. ;D
