I love this photo because its very moody, you can't see where the person is going and you can't see his expression, so a lot is left to your imagination. I also love the dark B&W tones.

As a man of the theatre, I constantly associate images with texts, and every time I look at this picture I can't help but think of the one and only Willy Loman of 'Death of a Salesman' by Arthur Miller. It is one of my favourite plays, and this photo so encapsulates the play it's remarkable! That's quite an achievement considering the emotional content of 'Death of a Salesman'!

Great work, I added the photo to my favourites as soon as the challenge finished. I haven't a clue why it took me so long to add this comment.

A pleasure to view.

Peace be.

Yeah...this one has more comments already, but I wanted to say how much I really like the way this makes the viewer wonder what's going on. Nicely composed and perfect exposure.

I thought this was jjbeguin for sure! This is a deceptively simple looking photo - but you've carefully captured all those dark tones and the scattering of highlights on the stones, and that wonderful motion of the foot. I agree that it should have ribboned.

The light and texture from te paving contrast nicely with the figure's silhouette. Image should have been cropped so that the paving was lined up with the frame and the DOF looks a little shallow. This aside it's a moody image and, while the feet are subtle, it doesn't take much effort to establish the connection.

I love this photo.

I like the stark contrast of the paving stones with each other. The silouette works very well. The fact that one foot is in motion but not so much creates an emotional link to the man. Based on his body language alone, I can resonate with him. I am sure you will get comments that "feet" really aren't the subject here, and maybe that's right. But for me, it's the best of show this challenge. Congratulations on this powerful image.

I like the air of mystery that the darkness invokes in this image. The light silhouetting the figure and the motion blur in the foot all add impact.
Nice work...good luck

Such a beautiful and simple image. I particularly like how understated but perfect the light is - low enough to only just bring out the details in the foreground cobbles but enough to make the pedestrian into a solid silhouette. Nicely composed too. 9

What I particularly like is the motion in the foot stepping down - when everything else is very solid and still. It is this subtle motion and the simple, elegant balance between the dark and the light that make this photo a stand out. 10

Dark and mysterious; just the way I like em. This photo was made well, and took a creative mind to conjure. 10

I love the b&w toning and the pattern of the cobbleed road. Silhouette is also very effective, but I think the main subject and issue with this image is not the feet, but just looking at it I ask myself why the top of the torso and head have been cut off, so that lack of a whole body distract from what should be the main subjects.
