 So, I did a little experimenting last night. I wanted to try a lit background like I have seen others do in still life. As you have seen I don't have a lot of fancy equipment, so I have to be creative. So, for the background I used a large plastic cutting board, mounted it between two chairs. Then I placed my external flash underneath. I laid the jar on top of it and it seemed to work pretty well. I had to play around a bit with the flash strength. I'm not sure if I got it completely right but I am fairly happy with the results. I added the text just for fun.

Really like the subject and the centered composition. I think you did a good job accomplishing your intent. Nice contrasts. There's just a tiny bit of "less than white" at the top of the image that you might be able to reduce with some levels. Something about the message over the top of the bottle is a little chaotic for my eye, but that's just a personal preference.

I like the lighting. Im not sure about the words across the middle of the bottle. It takes away from the still art look.

Great advertising piece, the script works very well w/this and balances out the tall skinny bottle...w/all the goodies inside ;-)

i like this a lot .. especially how everything in the text is sort'v mirrored in the bottle .. that's if you can imagine that food all squashed in together with other food etc are friends .. they certainly have the company .. you did a great job on the lighting and that excellent white background .. :)

I think the simple white background really showcases the bottle. Maybe a grungy border/vignette on the outside? Just thinking out loud.
