 Used a printed photo of the ever-so-lovely celebrity, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and placed misc desktop items around with the eyeglasses as the focal point... Made for a nice effect. Shot in the morning with mostly diffused natural light.

Post processing included Levels, contrast, and brightness adjustments in Photoshop.

Thanks Shannon. I know what you mean about the cluttered composition. I was torn between a number of versions that I had shot. My orginal submission had only the girl's photo with the glasses. But I second guessed myself and added other elements to the photo. I was afraid I would get comments about the photo being more about the girl, rather than the actual object. So I added the other elements to broaden the theme and include multiple everyday objects in the hope that the challenge theme would not get lost in the visual effect. Overall, I'm still pleased with it and will try some other ideas along the same lines : )

That's a great concept Derick. A slightly less-cluttered composition might have snagged a ribbon. Well done!

very clever == one of my top picks this challenge, you've laid out enough items to give the sense of clutter w/o the actual clutter which would have ruined the composition - eye glass/photo is unique (if you invented this -- be prepared for many to copy it as it's quite fun)

An interesting shot. I am somewhat bothered by the fact that the pen is slightly out of focus. I could understand out of focus to shift attention to eyes or in focus as one of the objects, but it seems to be somewhere in between.

Pretty cool setup, the eyes get realy sharp. Think maybe that more simplicity would have been better, leaving the pen and the other additional things out of the image. But surely an interesting image.
