Tee hee! Ok, maybe not a 6+ scorer in a stop-action challenge, but 3.34! Ouch!!!

This is a good photo. I guess people back then did not have a sense of humor.

Nice job on the exposure (white not blown out but can still see detail in the shadow)

Would have been better if you had caught some pages standing up as they flipped.

04/20/2002 06:34:00 PM
This would have been more effective if a page was in the middle of turning.

great idea, nice composition. Would have liked it better if it had been shot 1/2 sec earlier, when some of the pages were straight up and down, before falling to the other side.

Was there motion in the first place?
  Photographer found comment helpful.
04/20/2002 11:09:00 AM
There could have been motion here but there is no evidence of it now. Bear that in mind in future shots.

Interesting take on stopped-motion. The blank pages are key.

Nice. Congratulations!!

Nice pic but i dont connect it to the theme

Interesting colors but its hard to get the impression of stopped motion.
I gather your flipping the pages of the book. but there is no referece to show that this is so.

What is stopped? This doesn't seem to fit the topic.
  Photographer found comment helpful.
04/19/2002 02:54:00 AM
not really stop action.

04/19/2002 01:48:00 AM
while I don't doubt you were flipping pages, it doesn't feel like stopped motion.

This image jumped out at me immediately. I just like it, don't know why. I am making the assumption that the pages were turning.

Beautiful image, but no sense of motion

04/18/2002 01:15:00 PM
Hard to tell if this is really a stopped motion or if the book is just open to the page and sitting there. Still, an interesting photo.

I'm sorry but I really don't see the action in this picture.

04/18/2002 09:08:00 AM
interesting take on the subject, but not my definition of stopped motion

04/18/2002 01:42:00 AM
How am I to know that you didn't just take a picture of a book?

Original idea, but

04/17/2002 04:44:00 PM
amusing idea. i must be missing something though because i dont see how this has anything to do with stopped motion except in an ironic sense.
  Photographer found comment helpful.
04/16/2002 08:36:00 PM
where is the motion? This may have been better zoomed out a bit where you could see some blur on the edges of the pages where they were being flipped

Original, nice title.

looks stagnant, but pretty

I'm missing the action here ...

04/16/2002 12:16:00 PM
Don't get a good sense that this is stopped motion
  Photographer found comment helpful.
04/16/2002 09:22:00 AM
I like the texture of the shot however, the motion is lost.
  Photographer found comment helpful.
04/16/2002 05:49:00 AM
This just doesn't look like the pages were in motion when you shot the pic
  Photographer found comment helpful.
04/15/2002 09:45:00 PM
Might have been better, if a page was standing straight up.

04/15/2002 06:45:00 PM
it took me a minute, but now I understand the photo. :) Very nice! Composition is fitting. I like.

04/15/2002 06:26:00 PM
OK I'm gonna trust youn on this one. The pages are moving, riight? But it would be more convincing if a few were caught mid turn. That said, I like the composition and lighting.

04/15/2002 06:18:00 PM
I like the attempt here but I have no indication that there is any motion being stopped. Primary objective should be to meet the challenge.

04/15/2002 05:42:00 PM
Not sure what motion you were stopping

04/15/2002 09:35:00 AM
Not a whole lot of implied motion - you could have stopped it or it might never have started...
  Photographer found comment helpful.
04/15/2002 08:47:00 AM
i don't see the motion. the pages should have been more obviously flipping. it looks like they're just being held down!
  Photographer found comment helpful.
04/15/2002 12:40:00 AM
You may have caught an excellent shot, but as I see no indication of motion here, I have to rate 1 for lack of fit to challenge.
