nice idea. great shot!
04/20/2002 12:22:00 PM
how many times did you have to clean up popcorn before it came out right?
04/20/2002 08:32:00 AM
Interesting shot, makes me wonder what else was going on.
04/19/2002 08:35:00 PM
Good idea .... nice lighting ...
04/19/2002 06:51:00 PM
Wonderful. Great lighting. Don't know what else to say.
04/19/2002 12:18:00 PM
Nice lighting, Fun subject, Great arch!
04/19/2002 09:12:00 AM
Original idea and nice execution -- overall cool picture.
04/19/2002 07:26:00 AM
nice throw! and caught in timely fashion. creative. great shot.

Finally, particles of something dry flying through the air! The blue makes it feel like you're watching a movie on the TV. I'd like to see more of the bowl, there's enough empty space at the top to move down a bit. if you shot it further back you's have more flexibility in composing it (maybe you did!)

good
04/18/2002 06:01:00 PM
Nice effect with the blue, and good frozen motion. I am glad I don't have to clean up after you. :-)
04/18/2002 03:14:00 PM
great idea
04/18/2002 01:03:00 PM
I like both the arangement and the atmosphere of this picture a lot.
04/18/2002 09:13:00 AM
Is the blue cast intentional? It really works to give the feeling of a movie theater. A reflector at R to cut the shadows a little would make this better, but it's already good.
04/17/2002 11:26:00 PM
a 10
04/17/2002 09:09:00 PM
another 10, I use the dark background a lot myself.
04/17/2002 06:44:00 PM
I think this image would be better if the popcorn was yellow or white. Although the blue light makes it seem like the popcorn is being spilled in front of the TV, I think a yellowish tone would work better. There's just something too unnatural about the blue color. Otherwise great image - sharp and captures the challenge very well.

I like the lighting on this. It gives the impression it was taken in a movie theater.
04/17/2002 04:08:00 PM
The (unusual) lighting helps give depth to the popcorn, but it feels like there is too much empty space at the top
04/17/2002 12:41:00 PM
I like the lighting color and the blacked out background.
04/17/2002 10:42:00 AM
this is one of the cooler pics in this challenge. the blue color is a masterful touch really imparting that 'movie feel'.
04/16/2002 05:54:00 PM
Popcorns not blue. and keeping your popcorne white would have upped the contrast making for a more excellent shot.
04/16/2002 05:50:00 PM
the lighting is neat, very nifty idea.
04/16/2002 04:07:00 PM
NIce job, why blue?
04/16/2002 02:51:00 PM
this is nice, i like the overall blue hue.
04/16/2002 02:12:00 PM
Cool! I tried marbles and couldn't get the lighting just right. good job
04/16/2002 02:03:00 PM
nice shot well caught
04/16/2002 12:15:00 PM
I like the idea -- but the colors are strange
04/16/2002 11:36:00 AM
cool idea. I'm not a big fan of the lighting ... blue colour is fine, but perhaps more on the popcorn? maybe you'd get more shadows trying that though ... hmmm
04/16/2002 07:07:00 AM
Nice shot, the blue lighting resembles that of the big screen or a TV. Well done.
04/16/2002 05:36:00 AM
They make blue popcorn?? Cool. Very nice photo. Good composition, depth and your timing was perfect.
04/15/2002 06:36:00 PM
nice idea. IMO the upper inch - inch and half of the photo could be cropped. But who wants to try resizing after that :) I wish the popcorn would have remained pure. But these are nit picks. Overall, a pleasing photo with a nice sense of motion.
04/15/2002 06:21:00 PM
Brilliant. Love the color, composition, idea everything. Bet you made quite a mess getting this shot.
04/15/2002 06:01:00 PM
Good job. Would have liked to have seen you avoid the blown highlights. I rated it high.
04/15/2002 02:47:00 PM
Hmmm.... I like it. Yes, yes, I do believe I like it. Though the blue hue doesn't do a lot for me. Still, a very nice shot!
04/15/2002 02:20:00 PM
Nice detail. Good Framing.
04/15/2002 01:59:00 PM
at least it's not water
04/15/2002 12:31:00 PM
Check your white balance..unless that was the desired effect.
04/15/2002 11:36:00 AM
great colors
04/15/2002 11:35:00 AM
great idea there! nice composition and the blue tint ads a nice effect.
04/15/2002 11:00:00 AM
Interesting blue tone to the image - good entry
04/15/2002 10:26:00 AM
Unique idea:))) I'm not REAL crazy about the blue but it's a great capture:)
04/15/2002 08:26:00 AM
I like this a lot. I especially like the blue lighting; makes it look like a movie theater.
04/15/2002 07:34:00 AM
This is a unique entry! I like the concept here. I really wish your popcorn had not absorbed the blue light reflections from the carpet and the bowl. The contrast would have been much greaterwith white popcorn against the dark background. A tighter crop could have also eliminated some of the empty space at the top of the photograph.
04/15/2002 05:38:00 AM
I think this is a fantastic picture and I love the colours used in it.
