Many thanks to my friend Gil for inviting me to shoot on location at the Millenium nightclub. Thanks are also in order to my good friend Mario for making this outfit at the last minute on request for my special project. Thanks also to Bianca for her marvelous poses that never scease to amaze me after all these years of shooting together.

This shot was done with a 18-35mm lense set at 18mm to add to the dramatic effect of the pose and scene. The good old water-on-the-ground-trick was used to add a visual punch to the image. Two flash heads used: one for the backlight (unfortunately we see it at the left of the head) and one key light on the right(flash was pointing at a golden reflector to add hot color to the skin). The neons in the back are Cinema Daylight Neons (otherwise they would register orange in the shot).

POSTPROD: Burning done in the background to get rid of annoying details in the shadowy walls and ceiling behind the neons. Ideally, the use of a huge black drape would have been better, but I didn't have a 100 foot square black sheet with me... and that's pretty much what would have been needed to get the desired effect.

I don't know if it is fair to present this shot on DPC. In theory, a shoot like this costs a lot of money to produce and obviously I didn't set this shoot for DPC. BUT, the challenge does mention to submit our best photograph taken during June of 2004... So, here it is. One of the bests I shot this month, I think...

Cheers!

Whoa, crazy outfit, man... Nice shot. The hot spots by her right hand and at her waist are a bit of a distraction, but otherwise a very cool image.

Not necessarily my type of shot, but well done nonetheless (as usual = )

I love this shot. It conveys the ttle perfectly. Great pose, background and light. The only thing I find not perfect is the light shining through her hair. If it is supposed to convey a spot light, I think it would have been better to have it coming from a side or other wise showing what it is. Because all the background it black I think it is a distraction as it is. 9

Would be a great pic to publish in a music magazine.

great photo. I think any photo risking a camel toe gets an extra 2 points. You have got style, pizazz and good luck scoring with the subject.

Great color. Love the pose. Wish it were cropped in tighter to the model with less of the BG, but It's a visually interesting image as it is. Good work! :o)
