This is a great shot. The cropping really makes the shot -- I love images like this that give me ideas for how to compose photos of my own. I don't know if I would have thought of showing just the legs.

Wonderful job, and congratulations on your ribbon.

I didn't get a chance to vote - but this is a great photo - one of my favorites in the challenge ... congrats on the ribbon.

This was by far the best photograph in the challenge. I am glad it ribboned, but it should have won. The intensity of the subject combined with the lighting and the contrast were unmatched by anyone else who submitted a photo. Amazing work. I look forward to seeing more from you in the future.

A great shot. The headline needs improving -- this picture doesn't illustrate "climbing" in any way, but that's a nit. It DOES capture homelessness very well, particularly with one shoe on, and one shoe off. B&W is perfect with great contrast and nice grain. (Going back to my headline comment -- if he were perched on a stairway or in a stairwell, for example, the picture would match the headline.) 7

This is a very emotional image. The dirty foot with no shoe is a great touch (assuming you used a staged model.) Lighting exceptional.

One word for for this photograph INCREDIBLE!!!!!

There were plenty of homeless photos in this challenge- this one was my favorite by far. The contrast & composition are great, and I like only seeing the feet- it's much more mysterious, while at the same time identifyable. good job

I am not too sure if you have captured the title well in this picture. I love the tonal range and the composition.

Powerful image for this headline, this is a winner! At least a ribbon IMO.

What a powerful image...this fits the challenge absolutely and is very well done. I love the contrast and the shadows, and the shoeless foot really makes an emotional connection. Congratulations...I'm sure you will be a contender! :o)

This is a fantastic photograph, I can see it on a gallery wall, but I dont think is direct enough to be on the cover of a newspaper (of course I may be wrong).
Still, one of my top picks. Great work!

I love the tone here, its just very artistic. Having only the legs in the frame really adds some mystery to the photo. Excellent job, I hope this gets a ribbon. 10

Good luck...
