crop in tight around subject... and focus on face.

nice colors to bad the row of parking cones is there Congradulations on something other than water droplets
04/21/2002 01:52:00 AM
Too much competing for attnetion here - the cones in the background, the onlookers, the speaker, etc.
04/20/2002 07:33:00 PM
I love the energy portrayed here.
04/20/2002 12:40:00 PM
great colors, but where's the motion?
04/20/2002 09:24:00 AM
Lots of motion still in this colorful shot.
04/19/2002 10:01:00 AM
This could have been a great stop motion. The position the subject is in does not give a strong impression that it was moving.
04/19/2002 07:23:00 AM
Cool idea and subject matter, however, the background is distracting with the orange cones and all. Some cropping (maybe turning it into a portrait format) would have been helpful.
04/19/2002 02:52:00 AM
nice colors.
04/18/2002 07:37:00 AM
If possible, shoot with the sun at your back to provide better lighting on the subject.
04/18/2002 06:21:00 AM
Would like to see the bleachers 'disappear', and the cones too - atleast make me feel like I'm not gawing at an Indian dancer in a parking lot. bonus pts. for originality :)
04/18/2002 02:01:00 AM
sad exploitation of the native american
04/17/2002 11:22:00 PM
Great choice of subject -- it really gave you awesome colors and excitement. Were there any better angles you could have gotten to get a less distracting background?
04/17/2002 05:37:00 PM
Good looking photo. I would like it better if the dancer had been facing the sun.
04/17/2002 04:55:00 PM
excellent colors. crisp! you can see his stuff is moving around all good.
04/17/2002 04:19:00 PM
nice colourful shot - traffic cones not kind to this pic.
04/17/2002 02:34:00 PM
Nice colors. Cutting out some of the background (people, cones, etc.) would've been good. Guy with paper looks thrilled.
04/16/2002 08:53:00 PM
Nice, too bad there is so much clutter in the background.
04/16/2002 04:31:00 PM
Looks like you were in the right place at the right time. As constructive criticism, it probably would have been a little more pleasing to my eye if you would have used a veritcal crop, as the background tends to dominate the shot. Nice work.
04/16/2002 09:18:00 AM
Great subject. I would have rated higher if you could have gotten a tighter shot on the dancer and eliminated the background stuff to a greater degree. Also get some fill light on the front of the dancer.
04/16/2002 06:13:00 AM
Beautiful subject. Too bad you couldn't get him by himself. The people and the cones take away from your main attraction.
04/16/2002 03:39:00 AM
I wish the costume didn't collide with and get lost in the croud behind it, I would have tried finding a different angle if it had been possible. You could get rid of a lot of distracting background (the people are looking off the frame) by framing it vertically.
04/15/2002 08:35:00 PM
Not sure how fitting the background is. I suppose the unamused crowd is an interesting touch.
04/15/2002 06:28:00 PM
wow... really nice fancy dancer. where was this taken?
04/15/2002 05:56:00 PM
Cool! I wish I could see the whole dance. Great photo!
04/15/2002 04:52:00 PM
I feel it needs tighter cropping and a more unique perspective to eliminate the distracting background. The backgrounds can really hinder a great opportunity.
04/15/2002 02:26:00 PM
Colorful. Slightly out of focus.
04/15/2002 02:13:00 PM
I wish the audience hadn't looked away just then. Or maybe they are meant to mirror the cones one the other side...
04/15/2002 01:50:00 PM
there probably wasn't anything you could have done about it, but the background is distracting
04/15/2002 01:47:00 PM
Nice photo.. I would have liked to see the shot without the speaker.
04/15/2002 01:21:00 PM
So much more original "person" shot than the others. Thanks for not boring me with another "friend in street clothes" jumping up.
04/15/2002 12:03:00 PM
The colors are great in this. And the stop action is good. The people in back are distracting though, but it's tough in instances like that to not get them.
04/15/2002 11:38:00 AM
background is too distracting for my liking
04/15/2002 10:28:00 AM
AWESOME choice:) My only critque is the busy area around the dancer distracts from him. However, I love it !
04/15/2002 10:04:00 AM
Kind'a blurry, although I don't get the BIG stopped motion in this one....
04/15/2002 09:47:00 AM
You chose a difficult subject to work with on stopped motion. Feathers at a distance like this are blurring and there isn't much you can do to stop it. The tassles on the costume seem to be stopped fairly well. The subject being off center with the granstand viewers off to the side make this a challenging framing situation as well.
04/15/2002 09:32:00 AM
Nice subject. Very colorful and good action depiction. Could be vastly improved by cropping vertically (tight around subject) and using levels to brighten up overall.
04/15/2002 07:28:00 AM
...distracting background
04/15/2002 06:58:00 AM
Lots of colours. Too much clutter in the background though - If you'd got lower and closer in you might have been able to exclude a lot of that
04/15/2002 05:41:00 AM
very bright and bold.
