 thankyou everyone who got over their aversion to insects and saw the beauty in this little long legged fly .. and they are pretty small .. this one was no more than 3/16" altho there are slightly bigger ones ..
i was hoping to get around 6.5 but thought that being a free study & an insect it would probably get less ..
so when it got up to 6.8 a couple of days ago i was pretty happy ..
in the last day of voting it reached 7.04 & i started to think he looked heaps better than i had originally thought .. !!!
thankyou so much for all the great comments and votes .. .. :)

I think these insects must now make bookings to have their pictures taken . . and if they don't they certainly should !!

Awesome, you really are a Macro Pro. I started practising in earnest this w/e with my Sigma 180mm and it's no joke...patience and time and more of that again. WD on placing.

Looks like a Fly mixed with Mosquito, love the color in the background, and those eyes match it! Really amazing, congrats on the top 5 roz.
