Set up a miniature bowling alley on the dining room table. (Pins are about 2 inches high) Held one pin up in the air with a small clip. Used Sigma 105 on a tripod. Minimal levels, contrast, color. Some bright, USM. Tried with white background and black. Black seemed to work best.

interesting colors - is that a marble and some candles? Interesting lighting!

There has been much discussion on whether bowling is a team sport but couldn't you at least gone to a real bowling alley? It would have looked so much better.3

The lighting is interesting and I like the reflections on the ball. The composition seems tipped a bit. Interesting idea, but I don't think the pin supposedly being knocked down actually works in this--not evident enough, I guess.

I like the picture but it looks to me as if you used small plastic pins and I cant see motion in the ball? like the dof on the pin

Interesting shot, I wonder how big the ball and pins are? I'm guessing very small... or is that a marble? Anyways, great job, very original.

I'm guessing this is a minature version and the ball is standing still and the 'flying' pin is posed there, but it's a good shot! I like the reflections on the ball, although they seem 'odd' for a bowling ball, especially with the blue reflection on the pin. Marble?I like it!
