 Can't believe I'm entering a flower challenge... I did shoot for it, so may as well enter it, yes? Hoping for something above 5.

Shot with the new little P&S at the market on Saturday morning. These daisies are "packaged" with the heads in a cardboard tray to keep them from getting broken. Lovely flowers.

Lightroom "300v1" adjustment, crop, slight sharpen.

Post challenge: Wow - I'm truly very surprised and very honored.

I really, really like how the other flowers are overlapping the main flower.

i love the tones you got on this, by erring on the side of sharpness and texture you brought out the personality of the petals themselves rather than writing them off as objects meant to look soft and uniform; textureless. the title fits it perfectly as well :)

I agree with Peter's comment- the title & how it so fits the image is a winning combo--also it's a sweet one- that little Panasonic does a great job, but you were the artist !!!

What I liked so much about this is how it appears that the edged flowers are unveiling the masterpiece. The lighting and composition, as well as the color is just beautiful.

Neat idea and a very pleasant image. I would have left out the flower in the top left or had maybe just a very little bit of it showing. The flowers in front at the bottom don't bother me.

Beautifully lit. The softness of the light makes the flower so 3D. You can see all the detail. Love the way the other petals hug the main flower.
