 Two kids doing what kids like to do. They are sitting on a ledge on an eroding cliff. To get there they climbed over the fence with "Danger! Eroding Cliff" signs posted at ten foot intervals. Love makes fools of us all, I suppose.

Kissing is dangerous, with risk of broken heart a lot of the time, and (a picture is worth a thousand words) with risk of broken bones sometimes. Love? Maybe - hope endures against all odds. Hormones? Almost certainly. Brings back echos of a grandma scolding: "If your friends went over the edge of a cliff, would that make it just fine for you too?".
