I like the difference in the light and dark areas of the flower where the texture shows through. Very cool!

Commenting as part of the Flowers side challenge.

This is clearly an effective image but for me, I'm not too keen on the centred composition. I do love the relationship between your subject and the background though.

The overlay works well to add interest, while not taking away form the delicateness and of the tulip!

The way you graduate the overlayed texture so that it becomes denser the further you go drom the centre is particularly effective with this photo - something for me to learn!

Lovely image, and I love the colours. I think the overlay adds a gentleness to the image. It would make a lovely card image. Thanks for the links.

This is quite stunning...so far I haven't seen anything I don't like...what a different view with the overlays...it has a clean and crisp feel from the tulip yet a "soft" feel from the overlay...

its beautiful kelli .. i just love that grainy textured look on your flower .. great process and thanks for the link .. i had a quick look and then thought .. AGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH .. i have so many already .. i got one's i've forgotten i have .. i have to get another hard drive .. lol .. :)

This is just lovely and i agree with Judy worthy of a poster especially if you cropped it a bit on the RHS
