I really liket this shot, and the more I look at it, the more I like it.

It has a very classical feeling to it -- like it is a scene out of a old bw romance movie.

Upon first glance, the van bothered me, but in a sense it adds to the movement and drama of the shot. It gives the shot a bit more context and realism. I also really like the bw. I suspect that this shot in color would be too busy and everything would be battling for the viewer's attention.

The tilt still bothers me a bit. If it is on purpose, so be it, but I do find myself tilting my head to "make it right."

Very well done, and interesting for many subtle reasons.

good work.

Nice architecture, and setting for what looks to be a romantic moment.

Cool shot, I love how full of life the street is during this shot, there's a lot going on but you still have a central focus.

I can't tell if it is an illusion or not, but it *feels* tilted to the right. Or, maybe my head is crooked. I do like hte bw

Has some nice qualities. The white van in the background is a distraction though

Are they lovers? They really look uncomfortable in that hug. Nice use of available light.

Very nice capture of street photography, love the shadows in this shot. Perhaps a bit of contrast boost will really pop this image

This is a lovely candid B&W shot. It's such a shame about the van in the background. Still a great classic image. Well done and all the best for the rest of the challenge.

wow that van in the background kills the moment. it really is special though, did you plan them kissing or did you just walk by and see it?

Nice detail on the facade. I think the bright lighting on it draws attention away from the lovers.

The tilt drives me crazy - if it is not on purpose, level the picture - even if you lose the light pole on the left and the side portico on the right. Otherwise, you have done a great job of capturing the detail on the building. The "lovers" are a bit dark, and I think you could lighten the shot a bit. Great candid and great street scene.

seems abit over the top on the sharpening, the halos around the couple in the foreground detract. imo

Too bad you could not get them to move that van and tent out of the way! How rude of them to park that there in your shot! hehe.

Good capture. The light is rather interesting as it separates the two halves of this image.

I want more details on the couple... the details are lost in darkness and the white bag takes over the attention.

Nice street shot, good job with the contrast and choice of B&W.

A little more contrast might give this image a little more impact. Also, this was photographed on a slight angle from the building - if it had been possible, it might have been better to shoot straight on. This way the horizon won't looked tiled. Just a thought. :)

I think B&W was a good choice here. Might have cropped a tad more inward.

A slight curves adjustment for the midtones (I tried it) would have really made the tones of this open up. Right now its a little flat. I really like how the guy on the right keeps me in the image - the bike guy on the left almost does it too. interesting capture. 6

I'm not totally getting this, but I think I'm just dense. The lovers are in the foreground, an that must be the "Opera Concorde" behind them...
