I wanted to thank everyone who commented, they were much appreciated, well most of them. I wanted to respond to one in particular though.

First off, considering this was an open date challenge and the photo I used was taken in 2007 and I see yours was taken in 2008... and this is the title I've used since it's been in my portfolio, again since 2007, I'm not exactly sure how I plagiarized you, especially since until you pointed out this link, I've never seen the photo in question.

But going even further, I wondered just how many other "Eye See You" titles are on the site, so I did a little search...

Here we have one from 2002 //www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=8101
here's another from 2002 complete with the exclamation mark (like you used) //www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=8101
Oh, what's this? Another from 2003, again complete with the exclamation mark //www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=28672

In all, there were 70 results returned, many using the same name...

So, I guess that makes you a plagiarist, too, right?

Cute Norman Rockwell-style depiction.

This looks like someone I know (though it's not). The blue of the eye is a bit artificial but it is striking and fits with the general heavily-processed look. More processing than I would use personally but it is well done.

Great kid portrait, great editing, his eye looks fantastic and I love the dirty face.

Cool shot - I like the processing. The eye may be a tad too blue, but still a very strong image. 7

I like the processing. I wish there wasn't this line in the background which cuts across his head

I often read "don't cut the head", it's surely a good advice for many photos but I like this one as it is, the result is powerful.

post processing seems a bit uneven here.

Not sure I'm a fan of the post on this, but it is a nice portrait with the color in the eye being very prominent.

I like the crop, not so sure of the processing that gives him a dirty face though.

I am not sure if this is an HDR shot, just great PP, or you are just a pro with the camera..... one of my favorites. such depth to the little guys expression. 10!

extreme post processing fulfilled its purpose but still its extreme and sometimes extreme is not the best solution ;)
of course it doesnt mean that it is not great

His eye looks like a jewel...or like the earth when viewed from outer-space. Masterful use of DoF in this photo. Very nice!

that is one in focus eye.... the rest of the shot is cool, too. The dirt adds interesting texture. 9

Great impact on this - it plays very well with the face being dirty. Although I would clone out the darker spot on the nose to keep the attention drawn to the eye.

The eye color is incredible. But the level of processing makes this child look really odd.

Wow! That's one incredibly blue eye! Love the over the top edit on this very adorable boy! 10

Interesting. The choice for post processing doesn't grab me, though that is a personal preference. The tricked out eye appears to be overdone, and the HDR look to the image doesn't seem to suit the subject.

I like the 'hidden gem' aspect of this. I don't like the oversharpening. I like the rest of the processing though, especially the colors.

+ Great expression and personallity, colour in the eye. - Too much Topaz Adjust, space on right is distracting as it glows compared to rest of the image.

Like the processing here and the candidness of the grubby face.
