I feel like a little more saturation would be nice here, the castle in the back looks neat.

Nice low angle to include the boat.

To be honest, I find this photo to be busy. Your title suggests that the castle is the main subject, but the covered boat dominates the photo, and grabs the most attention.

not so interesting scene

Light seems flat and the horizon is tilted. Not quite sure what you wanted to show: the boat or the castle.

The subject seems to be a boat and poles, followed by a dock and boats followed by a hill way in the distance. Is the castle on that far off hill? There is just too much competing for my attention on this shot.

Well captured and presented.

What I would like to see is a closer shot of the castle, it looks very interesting. Unfortunately, the wrapped boat is not that interesting. Your horizon is also slightly tilted.

really intersting castle in the distance, would like to see that closer up

Frankly I find the colours here and the composition to be a bit bland.

Nice shot. I like the harbor scene.

Nice comp. Could use a bit of a levels adjustment.

I don't think the titled subject stands out enough.

Is this Mt. St. Michel?
03/14/2009 04:53:23 AM
Looks like a peaceful bay

I would have removed both yellow poles. bumped up the saturation slightly

The focus doesn't really land on the castle for me. Maybe a tighter crop on the boat with some saturation and make that the focus. Just an idea.

light is just a little flat

Interesting composition but the image rather eludes me...

You have some interesting lines working here, the yellow poles to the water line to road to the horizon line to the castle. But there are a few things holding this back. The horizon is tilted slightly, and the colors look a bit washed out.

This photo might benefit from a stronger composition.

Needs colors boosted a little to give impact.

The focus doesn't seem to be on the castle. That's going to hurt the score.

the title is confusing as it refers to a castle, but the main subject is a covered boat. I think the castle is in the far left background... maybe. good perspective though

Good exposure and cropping but not sure what the subject is - a little too much going on in this for me.

Nice view. I like the lines on the right pointing to the castle. I think the photo could use some more contrast.

Fog on teh Tyne is all mine all mine........:) Colours look a little washed out ( contrast ), horizon tilted and I'm not sure what the wooden boat in the foreground brings.... 5

without the title I wouldn't know that the castle is your focus.. the stuff in the foreground overpowers it.

Horizon is dipping on the left

I wish the subject here had a bit more charm... the cover on the boat is not exciting to me. *sorry* The castle isn't the subject... it's too far off and OOF.

Unfortunately we cannot see much of the boat in the foreground and the castle is stil a long ways away.

There seems to be a lot going on here. I find it a little distracting.

Nice shot and interesting composition. I think with a bit of levels adjustment this image would really pop. It might be just me but the horizon doesn't quite look straight to me.

Interesting composition, although it probably would be better without the boats in the background. But overall very nice line and detailes.

I would have moved those yellow pipes if it was possible but its ok. Needs more detail tho and more color.

Interesting perspective, would like to see more saturation in coloration of this image.

If it's the castle you're presenting, then your focus is off.

I like this POV, but not if you're wanting me to understand the location.

need more contrast

curves/levels...colors seem a bit flat, the poles are a little distracting...maybe a little step photography to the right then you wouldn't see the poles

What a wonderful location! The comp leads my eye quite nicely. I do have to nitpick on the visibly tilted horizon, however.
