I think the composition is a little dull and the focus is a little soft, but the pose and colors are great.

Great pose, but I'm not sure the PP has added to the shot? I think the shot would stand on its own without it.

Very nice tiger portrait.

Decent shot of this tiger. Has a little too much contrast for my tastes though.

Centered comp works, but the fur is a bit overexposed, certainly due to the tough lighting conditions.

I believe it! Nice majestic shot of this tiger. Good composition. Maybe a little dark overall.

Magic. I love the bright against the dark.

not too sharp and the highlights are blown out

sorry, the posterization effect just doesn't work here, imo

the post processing needs to be improved

It feels like you have tried to process this to make something out of a shot that wasn't really up to much?
  Photographer found comment helpful.
03/14/2009 11:33:19 PM
An elegant pose but your processing is a bit odd....too contrasty and dark, sorry.

03/14/2009 05:26:48 PM
Good pose and mostly good post processing but the whites are blown out.

03/14/2009 04:02:43 PM
Back to comment: You captured a very lovely pose; however, the post processing doesn't look very natural to me.

Tough to get them to pose for you, and this pose is great. It seems overprocessed to me, making the tiger look less real, safer, if you will.

03/14/2009 08:10:00 AM
Nice austere pose. Unfortunately the blown highlights are too distracting for me.

Really captured the look here

03/14/2009 12:14:16 AM
Slightly over sharpened, like the intensity of the tigers stare.

03/13/2009 06:00:02 PM
this seems way over-saturated with way too much contrast. i think this could have been processed into a better entry without the over processing. maybe some sharpening of the eyes, a blurring of the background, maybe some dodge and burn work.

Do tigers get gas?
03/13/2009 03:45:54 PM
Seems a bit too contrasty to me.. .but I'm sure others will love it. He looks regal.

I like the framing with the leaves

Nice lighting, and pose to the subject. I like the composition as well... this is more engaging of a shot to me than many animal photos.

The silhouette background and the odd green leaves add to the shot.

Title and photo are fitting very well. The colors are looking somewhat harsh.

The white is too white in my opinion. Maybe a little overexposed, I'm not sure but it is hindering.

Posed just like the Sphinx! Such a regal animal and a really powerful position, I don't think it needs any help with the extra contrast.

Although I love animal images especially cats, big or small, and you've caught him in a great pose, this one is too soft and overexposed.

Gorgeous cat....needs a bit of a revision on the post processing though.

over processed highlights, and the central composition of the image does not really work here

03/11/2009 05:53:36 PM
Very proud and regal, not just from the way he holds his head but the way he's got his paws sort of folded in front.

I am guessing, I think you did some dodging...a bit to much in the face of the tiger...it is glowing to much
