Very big thanks to Coley, for the inspiration. And to all worried about kids on the train tracks....this line is very seldom used, about once a week. So there was no immediate danger during the shoot.

Cute. It's like a modern day version of this image.

Poor Sariel. While training to become the next Angel of Guardians, she had a few well known mishaps that almost caused her descension from the guild.

The most famous of these was the unfortunate Railway Disaster of '08. Why she thought that an umbrella was an apt defense against an on-rushing diesel locomotive, heaven knew.

Her failure there, however, was to become a motivating force. In the centuries to follow, she became the greatest Angel of Guardians that heaven ever knew, and she never lost another soul again.

While I don't usually recommend that children sit on railroad tracks, I'm glad they did for this. It's a cute pic. I would prefer if the tracks were slightly more centered or much more off-center. The tiny gap at the bottom right between the tracks and the frame is distracting for me.

I understand this photo is meant to be a bit of an abstraction, but it doesn't quite reach it. Things like the power lines and the cord hanging down from the umbrella distract me from the idea you are trying to convey. Maybe a tighter shot would work better, but that is just a guess 6.

Slightly weird and slightly worrying on what looks like an active train line ... I can't quite get past how dangerous and stupid this looks, if there was grass coming through the rails showing it was disused, but then the meaning of your shot would be gone. I've not know anyone personally but over the years there have been too many people killed on local train tracks for this image to install anything but horror in me.

definitely a coley style but it doesn't seem to have his quality

If she was a real guardian angel wouldn't she be keeping them away from railroad tracks? :)

They're gonna need more than an umbrella if that train shows up! *grin*

Interesting image. I like the BW. (not voting yet)

Very dangerous to play on a railroad track. Very bad mother or a babysitter
