 Literally took an egg and put it inside a vase, on its side. Light source was the sun, and I was lying face down on the driveway to get this. The neighbors were looking out the window... The lighting patterns on the egg are from the wavy glass, and the "path" on the left is the egg's reflection. This was straight out of camera, with a minuscule amount of cropping around the edges.

I have a Nikon Coolpix 8700, so it doesn't have a separate lens with apertures and focal depths. I had it on macro setting with auto lighting, and played with the lighting by focusing on different points inside the vase.

LOL PapaBob! I'll ask the neighbors. Maybe THEY took one :-)

Like stated below this one is underated, the color and texture of the lighting is very nice. And I love your descrition of how you took the shot but and even better shot would have been a shot of you shooting the shot that you got....:)

This shot was way underated ... I just came across it now. I like the way the light plays in so many different directions.
The composition was well done, it kept my eye for some time. Nice work

I like the patterns on this even thought blue light seems a little harsh, bumping up.
