| ... meanwhile, at the Hotel California, the effects of the blast were felt and seen as an instant darkening of the sky, and a heat not unlike that of a blast furnace, instantly scarring any that stood unprotected in the open. |

| Yes, it looks like Hotel California, but I think it's Balboa Park near the Old Globe. Nice colors and silhouette and catching the setting sun. |
