I actually think the version of this picture that you have on your website is much better. In that version with the looser crop, I get a much greater sense of depth and space. Bringing the bright rays of sun further down into the composition helps keep the visual interest well away from the edge, with is a problem with the one you entered for the challenge.
The one you entered here is cool, but the one on your website is amazing. |

Hey apostle i don't know if you have access to photoshop cs 8.0 but if you do you should use the shadow highlight key function is balancing your image. put out more details in your highlights and your shadows.

I actually got a lot more silhouette from this place but I wasn't so sure which one is the best. I've chosen this one and 5th place is good enough I reckon...

| Very nice shot. Fits the challenge well. Great sky. Well composed, even though I normally don't like the horizon in the middle of a shot. My only criticism is that the colours seem a little dull and look like they need enhancing in Photoshop a little. |

| Best shot of the challenge in my opinion. Would like to have seen the sun lower in the sky perhaps, and may more hidden behind the clouds. The size and overexposed-ness of the sun is juuuuust a little distracting in my opinion.... despite that you have a great shot here..... I gave you a 9 initially but I think it is really worthy of a 10. good luck, Todd. 10. |

This is a gorgeous land/seascape. I think I have seen photos of this before but I can't be sure. I'm thinking it's somewhere in Australia maybe?
At any rate, the mood of the sky is phenomenal... great work :)
