 Day 4 of 30 Flowers

Caught in mid-chomp. Bad, bad bug!!! But so-o-o-o cute :-)

Had the 12mm extension tube on.

PP - converted from RAW, cropped, cloned out distraction in lower left corner, desaturated light parts of face (they were reflecting yellow and blending into the flower too much for my taste), dodged/burnt eyes slightly, added border, resized, sharpened with noise reduction.

ETA in response to Karen: this is some sort of grasshopper. I haven't managed to familiarize myself with the various types so that's as far as I can get on an ID.

Took aliqui's suggestion and bumped the contrast.

Absolutely one of the better bug captures. The yellow of the lilly certainly sets him off.

You forgot to bump the contrast. I tried it with this image and holy cow... go try! The colors are awesome and the detail pops right out.

He's definitely got the cutest expression of guilt on his face. He's lucky you're a photographer and can appreciate that.
