Day 3 of 30 Flowers
Since I'm on a buggy theme I might as well continue :-) The Butterfly Bush does its job very well, attracting various Skippers, Swallowtails, Monarchs and Cabbage Butterflies as well as some teensy little Blues on occasion. This morning after some rain this little Skipper insisted on posing for me, so what's a girl to do but oblige!
Still playing with the extension tubes; this was shot with the 20mm.
PP - converted from RAW, cropped, levels, dodged bug and foreground of flower a little, increased contrast, added border, resized, sharpened with noise reduction, blurred background a bit more. |

| Beautiful flowers, nice colors and detail. My attention goes more to the butterfly than the flowers, but I guess that is what you where going for. |

| This is a delightful shot, and your title is perfect! Great detail in the bug face, and just right DOF in the flower. This would surely be a ribbon contender in the right challenge. |

Oh, so pretty. Great exposure, focus, and composition.
There was a bunch of these guys playing in the flower garden I was shooting today, but none would show me their face. I have a bunch of butt shots! |
