Wow! My first ribbon, and hopefully not the last:) Thanks to everyone for the votes and the nice comments.

The original picture was taken through a glass and did not look very good; I almost went with something else. Here is the original


Post processing:
Slight Rotation
Crop
Basic Curves, colors, levels and lighting adjustment
Brighten the eyes
Smart Sharpening
Convert a layer to B&W using the green channel
Combine the 2 layers using multiply
Lots of dodging and burning
Save for Web
Reopen in CS3
Smart sharpening again
Added a border
Saved for web again

At first I thought image was great and then when I saw what the original image was that it came from, then I realized this picture was flat out amazing. Very sharp image and great work after the shot.

awesome job on the processing of this. I would love to see the step by step pictures of this. I have many photos through glass like this that I would love to take to the next level. I'll keep practicing, and hopefully I'll get something like this some day!
