| Almost too far away for what I think of as 'Portrait'. But, it's certainly one of the better photos of the challenge - the light sepia work well with the grass and attractive faces never hurt anybody. I think your photo will certainly end up in the top 10. It was only 1 of 5 tens I gave out this challenge. |

| I love the setting and the quality of the image -- the composition, light, and the softness of the grass and sepia tone. I don't like the hostile expression on the blond's face. I think it detracts from the serenity and the tie between the girls. Perhaps it is directed at the intrusion of the photographer or viewer, but I would like to observe this relationship unnoticed. 8 |

| The duotone finish was the perfect choice for this image as was the wide DOF. The straight lines of the the models' hair, so uniform, stand in wonderful contrast to the chaos in the tines of the wheat. The angry look of the blond takes away slightly from the otherwise emotionless, or, at least contented feeling of the image. The starkness of the sky and the intrusion of the tops of their heads into that spaces adds a very interesting element to the overall image. |

| they don't look like happy friends.. as for the photo, the sepia tone works, the high key look works.. the dark hair draws the viewer's eye there. Would've scored higher if not for the dour expressions |
