Might as well be a point of wheels :)

Dust dots? Pain in the butt...
Without spot editing - mission impossible.

Awesome! I'm so glad it did as well as it did. I thought it would do worse acutally, but enough people got it I guess. I showed it to my girlfriend and she couldn't figure it either - and she has a huge IQ score! - but loved it when I told her what it was. A very appreciated picture!! Great job!!! And I envy the amount of comments. You probably have more than half the amount of I comments I have in sum on this one picture. Good Job!!!

What's that saying about the 'squeaky wheel' ? :)

Nice mouse shot

Arrgghhh... I have no intention of writing an explanation for the 50th time. Read at least a few comments and then, if you don't get it, PM me and I'll try to explain it.

As hard as I try still can't make out what this is or how it is a wheel
04/14/2004 01:56:22 AM
I must say, I'm a bit disappointed - just 8 ones?!
I was expecting at least 29 (same as tens) :))

Thanks for the pile of comments :), I guess not everybody in this challenge was that open minded after all.

This one was really fun! At least I'm heading for my most commented photo :))

stunning... i didn't vote on this, but amazing work.
I think it acheives much shock as the voter is saying "wtf is that, how is it a wheel" takes a sec, but you see it in the end... VERY creative

Too much empty white for me

usually I am not interested in mundane objects, but this is an excelent use of their abstract qualities. 10

A very interesting, well-composed abstract. Like the high-key. Congrats on having the courage to submit something "out of the box."

needs just a bit more contrast. left edge of mouse is washed out.

love the perspective play. it is a little too much white for me.

A very nice picture here!!! Been showing it to a few collegues!

I really like your lighting here, almost drowns out the rest of the mouse, whilst only showing the wheel (and button) Was it done with a mirror? Well done!!

Do I look at a bird ? Very nice picture, but for me it is lacking of wheels or real circles. Yours, Jan

Nice effort, I think you may be trying almost too hard. This borders on "digital art". Dont misunderstand, it's a good pic, but I can't give the highest rating on it due to the apparent amount of manipulation. 9

Cool! But, I cant really tell what it is.....

Very, very overexposed and washed out. I realize it was your intention, but it does not work for me.

Took me a sec:) Would be a cool to do an optical mouse in darkness for an antipole pair.

it's a very genuine approach
i will give it a 5 for creativity... unfortunately the shot is not balanced and i don't understand the relation between the title and the wheel...

This was a nice, fine-tuned portait of wheel-mice. I love the high-key effect.

Well, if there was a prize for the baffling the viewer for the longest period of time you'd get a 10.

Now, this picture has taught me a lot, I'm not ashamed to say I'm a first impressions kind of guy and just didn't get this at all. Finger where the mouse 'wheel' should be? Now I like it - a lot :)

Took me a minute to figure this one out...it certainly is unique. Has almost a sensual quality to it. A bit bright, but different nonetheless. Very impressive.

Well done, I like the look that the high contrast gives this photograph. One of the better mouse wheels submitted.

For a moment I couldn't figure out what it was. This is a well-thought photo. Nicely composed and, the colour is good. I wished the line didn't extend to the left of the photo but that's just me... good job. 9

Interesting take on what I thought would be a very common subject (but hasn't been over-done). I like the very graphic almost abstract quality.

I can't figure out how this picture fits the challenge, and I don't really understand it. But I like it! the colors are awesome. I would like to know WHAT the subject is. If you would like to explain how it fits the challenge, I will revote it if I feel your exaplanation and subject is relevant to the challenge.

I almost feel like an idiot because I totally see it now!! I love this shot, it has to be one of my favorites in the challenge and I am glad that you explained it to me! I hope that everyone else can be open minded about it.

ok, I amit I had to save this image to my PC and edit it to find out what the heck it was....its a mouse. Very nicely done. Also I originally rated this a 5 since I did not know or how wheel fit this image. Im going to bump your score up to a 10

Subtle! Perhaps one good example of when blowing out the white works for the subject.

Pretty shot but a bit too abstract and a long way to go to get to a mouse wheel, which is barely a wheel anyway. I like the image and was trying one way and onother to see what it was and when I finally saw it I was disapointed that it wasn't a wheel wheel, had it been the payoff whould have been as high as the shot is pretty.

unique, but too white. not enough contrast

And there I was thinking that if I see another mouse wheel I'll mark it down to 1 just because. And now I can't possibly.

Love this photo. At first I was going to down-rate it because of relevance to the theme. As I looked longer and longer, and as my eye traveled around the photo, it seemed more and more perfect. Well done. Nice comp. Great color.

Hrm, I'm guessing mouse ball/wheel. I like the high key look, seems very suggestive too. It's different for sure.
