Fabulous capture, Sandy! The blur of the wings is well stopped. They are so hard to photograph and yours is beautiful.

Sandy - this is gorgeous and spiritual in a sense. Look at how the wings look like they are holding a ball of glowing light. That's just beautiful!

6.18??? 6.18!!!!

For goodness sake what does a person have to do to get a score that reflects the beauty of a picture on DPC nowadays

This is an amazing capture, such beauty and delicacy

I love the motion blur on the wings and the tail which is wonderful in comparision to the stillness of the head and beak

As much as this bird brought you happiness on the day that you took your photo, looking at the image has probably given me more pleasure

Wonderful

Sandy, what a cool photo this is! I love how his little eye is so sharp amid all that motion. Deserving of a much higher score IMO.

hey sandy .. i saw this in voting and knew it was yours coz of the one you put in the side challenge .. its a stunning photograph .. i'm amazed that you can photograph one of these birds and get such a great result .. they move so quickly i've heard ..
i actually preferred the photograph you put in the side challenge, and wondered why you entered this one here ... i'm thinking it could'v been because the bird's beak was partly obscured by the flower in the other one?? ... i could be wrong .. well i probably am !!! .. its often a very hard call trying to decide which photograph to put in a challenge .. wondering which one will appeal to those nitpicking voters .. lol lol !!.. :)

Hands down...the most gorgeous Hummingbird image I've ever seen!

Your title made me smile and it fits the challenge. For me, the bright white blurred areas of the background are distracting, but I do like the green areas.
