Myntz are like Altoids (only less chalky). I can't bring myself to throw out the tins so I use them to dump my change in. When I happened across the drawer with these in them, I was surprised how much money I had collected in them. Another 5 years and I can get that L lens! :)

Additional notes:
- They are breath mints
- NO PENNIES ALLOWED :)
- It feels like about 30 lbs worth of coins total. Someday I'll count it.
- The "Rainbow" is a gradient layer / overlay. Without funky processing, this would have been quite boring. :)
- Many years back I saved my change and used it to buy a really nice CD player ($350)

We save change too. I recently started "turning it in" to the bank because they have a machine that counts it. I've already deposited over $200 and you can't tell any of it is missing yet!

Very interesting photo and processing...I like the way it turned out. I especially like the cut outs around the edge. No pennies huh? Well I'd never collect enough to fill a tin then.

i love the rainbow overlay, glad you used it to bring some life into an otherwise dull picture, lol, thats the last thing we need! And keep saving! That L-lens will soon be yours!

The rainbow overlay is an excellent choice for this. Good exposure and focus too.

I just find it quite funny that you are a packrat, although I don't know why. That overlay really makes the shots, and if you're saving for good glass at least I know you'll have minty breath.

The color & transparent feel to it motivated me to click it open. I was not disappointed, this is cool!

Great colours, border and overall setup. I only have one concern, and that is: Will all these quarters be used to buy that new L lens or will the local dentist be taking up photography??? lol

I like the border a lot and i love the rainbow. I don't know if its the color but I don't see pennies. My hubby does that and gets irritated with me for putting pennies in. hehe

Why wait? Just print up some more. I really can't find any duplicates, though. You must have rearanged the quarters for each shot...or? Hey buddy, can you spare a dime? Great processing (as usual).

man, you must have some deep drawers! thta is an incredible number of quarters, and so many tins!! The drawer must make a lovely tinking sound when you close it... Start rolling! I bet that L is closer than you think!

this reminds me of a short story I listened to once on public radio, about a Mexican immigrant housekeeper who was told by her employer she could
have all the money if she would count all the pennies she had collected in some jars. The maid did so, and after it was all rolled and ready to go, told the employer she had almost $200 there! Upon hearing this, the woman told her to leave the money. Taken aback, the poor employee felt so disappointed, and lied to. So she left the money, but only after she unpacked each roll and poured them all on the floor.

well anyway, not sure if there's a point, but it was what your image provoked...
whew I DEFINITELY need more java!

Nice colours. Thought these were sardine tins at first. ( I was thinking about the smell in your drawer. lol ) We're alike in not being able to throw out stuff that can surely be reused some day, some where, for some reason. ;\

Mysterious Light 4? Love the composition, crazy colors and that you found that much money laying around! LOL! Just curious, did you count it? You'd be surprised what it adds up to.

Great shot, I like the scatteredness of all the containers, all the different ways they are pointing and laying add lots of interest and depth to the photo. I really like the processing, the colors and the boarder make the photo stand out more.
