Hope you tried some of Quebec's maple syrup when you were up there. I rate it as better than Vermont's. Though we run through several gallons of VT syrup per year. |

We went to the local maple syrup festival and they showed us how they do it and we even had a small sample. It's become an annual tradition and this reminds me of it. |

The light in this is wonderful, Anne. I have the feeling those cans have been there a long time. And, I assume that's Maple syrup? |

These things are growing on my trees out here also, late winter the trees grow these and shed them in early spring... Then the leaves come.
Great tones in the photo, i just love the syrup after. |

Those poor trees - I wonder how much they like having their blood sucked every year. On the other hand, I LOVE the syrup! |

Oh I cannot relate to this at all but I want to. The cold snow and the tin buckets neath the trees boughs. Very soothing. Makes me want to taste the syrup!!! |

I have never had real maple syrup...I must be very deprived, after reading all the comments. I can almost taste it, however, through this photo. Lovely image of a beautiful scene. |

Just came back from Quebec City and they have so much snow this year the sap flow is going to be delayed for weeks. Ten foot of snow on the ground around most houses.. |

Anne, fantastic slice of life - have never seen such a thing down here.
I think the image would have benefitted from a tripod. |
