Hope you tried some of Quebec's maple syrup when you were up there. I rate it as better than Vermont's. Though we run through several gallons of VT syrup per year.
We went to the local maple syrup festival and they showed us how they do it and we even had a small sample. It's become an annual tradition and this reminds me of it.
did you enjoy alvin and the chipmunks .. ??.. lol .. or were you busily downloading and processing after bribing your children ..
great photograph and loved the story in the thread ..
i had no idea wot those tins were until i read your comment .. i was thinking they were some sort of food for wildlife or something .....
love the chunky bark on the tree and the last snow .. :)
Oh I cannot relate to this at all but I want to. The cold snow and the tin buckets neath the trees boughs. Very soothing. Makes me want to taste the syrup!!!
I have never had real maple syrup...I must be very deprived, after reading all the comments. I can almost taste it, however, through this photo. Lovely image of a beautiful scene.
Just came back from Quebec City and they have so much snow this year the sap flow is going to be delayed for weeks. Ten foot of snow on the ground around most houses..
i love the richness of the colors and the placement of the tree trunk. i sure miss VT! I haven't been up there since early February, but I think we will be heading north next weekend...
