OK, this is my first attempt at any challenge so I'm a bit nervous.. The photo isn't quite how I envisioned it but its ok.

Editing involved was hue/saturation, crop, re-size and sharpness.

Thank you to Gloda for lending me his camera, teaching me how to use his camera, teaching me how to edit photos and for his time, patience and willingness to help :)

congrats on a pretty good finish for your first entry! Its a good shot that meets the challenge well.. However, I am known for being critical so I don't want to disappoint you here by being too nice..

OK, the weakest point in this photo for me is the B&W conversion. Just desaturating or converting to grayscale generally will result in a pretty flat image that can drain any life out of the image. Your best best would be to learn how to use the channel mixer to make some of the tones deeper and richer.. its hard to explain but channel mixed B&Ws just have more depth and are tonally more pleasing.. if you need any advice on how to do that then feel free to drop me a line.

Anyway, well done and hope to see more from you in the future.

Mark.

PS, tell Gloda to pull his finger out and arrange the Canterbury GTG.

Yay you! An excellent first entry! I applaud the use of B&W and the simplicity of the moment captured. Very tender, very real. Nice work!

Nicely done, facial expressions are nice. Your hand seems a bit glossy.

The title doesn't quite describe the photo for me. With that being said, I think the photo meets the challenge nicely. I would have preferred them gazing into each other's eyes for even more intimacy.

Lovely use of contact, this should be the Wikipedia "Intimacy" photo, just a bit more contrast.

Beautiful couple. Lighting is great. I like the low key feel for this image as it feels like the couple is reluctantly ending a new love. She has a sort of fatalistic look about her.

crop to tight, a little to overexposed; really nice idea

Beautifully composed. Might be better with a tad bit more contrast to get more tones?

They should have been looking at each other

I would have liked to see both subjects sharp. With the focus on the male, you lose the attention on the woman.

Lovely one.

The position of their eyes (both girl and boy) work well here. He, looking at her, in anticipation. She, looking down, as if in contemplation of what is to come. The touch ... both forehead to head and hand to cheek connote intimacy to me.

The lighting could have used a little more 3D appearance to it, but I love the B&W toning. Good job!
