It was a top 20 finish so I shouldn't complain but i actually had higher hopes for this one, was hoping for top 10 :(
I really liked this one for some reason!

Taken from the top of 60th & Amsterdam, facing SE, looking at midtown.

PP = curves/levels, doing everything to keep the highlights looking good...

Note - cities are HUGE emitters of pollution... from the vast amounts of power needed to run them to the cars and congestion. I think this shot was on point with the challenge and respectfully disagree with those who thought otherwise!

Thanks for all the votes and comments!

you needed to see the specific pollutants , and this would have made top 3 for sure.

This was my favorite of the challenge and I had hoped it would do better than it did. I understand where you are coming from regarding those who didn't feel it met the challenge. It was spot on!

I personally don't think it is really true to the theme, but it is a spectacular photo nonetheless. Beautifully composed and the exposure is brilliant

The city certainly has lots of pollution, but I really don't see that illustrated here. My impression on seeing this image is not "pollution", but rather "nightlife". I feel it's a shoehorn, however it is a really nice image. Good enough that, in spite of the shoehorn, it still gets a good vote from me.

What an incredible perspective you have in this shot. I like the leading lines here, as well as the twilight sky.

very nice exposure. i like that you shot this in an evening ("twilight" zone) to have that beautiful sky instead of during a night in complete dark.

Good shot, I think it may be great in HDR which isn't probably allowed on this challenge though.

Too bad the building on the left has been chopped off. I would have liked to have seen more sky. It may have worked to tilt the camera just a little to the right (clockwise) to pull in the the top of the building. Still a nice photo.
