The Image: Another of the images I took on an early morning shoot in the city. As I searched the Lyrics of songs, I found the line in THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME.
I like the LED number eights which were on a passing tram.

The Edit: A selective desat with a bit of black and white work. I cloned out a power line and was thinking about taking them all out, but I think they add. Some, Dodge and Burn, some levels, Noise Ninja, Black and white with a tint...I like the end result.

The Prediction: Ummm...not doing too well at the moment so I won't guess, but I'd be disappointed if it is not over 6.

POST: This was a total surprise to me but I am glad it did well. The number 8's and the cloudy Sin City look did me well. Pawdrix's picture was superb and I love his story behind the shot. Thanks for all the votes and comments everyone. hotpasta is back!

Here is an outtake...a bit ghastly by comparison:

I dont know why this one wasn't on my faves list previously, those LED lights really make the shot they're so cool, and I aspire to learn how to edit like this

Congrats on the Yellow, Enzo! Love the tones. Amazing clarity on the "traveling" 8's... what a cool bonus! Looks like the new D300 is starting to settle in nicely ;O)

OMG this camera is so sick and the photographer using it know what they are doing. I like the black and white conversion with the select colors.

Congrats on the ribbon Enzo, liked it from when I first saw it. After looking at the image a few times I started thinking the "8's" are really just words or numbers on the bus and the speed of the bus is just right that lights kept popping up in the same space. With the different numbers/letters lighting all the light slots to make it look like an 8. Maybe?
Either way its really cool. :)

Do you mean with the new camera? Because he has quite a few.

Great job here! Like you, I love the 8s that the lights on the train made. Gorgeous sky.

the passing numbers flashing by add alot for me. It really looks like an album cover. also a really nice example of selective desaturation. All these elements equals a ten from me. :)

The selective color is nice and I like the foreground lights but the background lights along the right edge of the photo are kind of a jumble

Great exposure on the sky, though the selective desaturation might not have worked completely in your favor in relevance to the song lyric you have chosen. The lights that still have color aren't exactly the lights from the city, but that is honestly my only complaint.

You really balanced out the exposure well to capture great detail in the clouds, and still have those awesome streaks of light from passing cars. This is one of my favorites for this challenge!

I really like the way you chose to use selective saturation. It works so well and I love the deep black/brown of the remaining duotone. Gives the city such a forboding feel. Nice work. 9
