this is without a doubt one of my very favorite pictures...I think it was close to my first favorite on this site...this is taken in the town that I was born in and raised until I was in my early 20's so I have many, many memories of this place...
My word - what a lovely shot! It manages to look extremely cold with the blue bits, but warm and cosy with the sunrise, especially on the water, and I think the glow or softening filtering adds to the warm feel. I suspect I would have warmed the blue, so it all looked warm, but that would have spoiled it, probably. Well deserved ribbon!
congratulations ken on a stunning and very very beautiful photograph/process and a wonderful score in a free study ..
another 7 and a PB .. BRILLIANT .. :)
This was my only 10 in the entire group. This is just beautiful. I knew it would be at the top when I opened up the results. It was the very first shot that I voted on and nothing could compare after seeing this. WOW
Yipee! Congratulations, Ken, this is so well deserved!!! As I keep saying, I love all of your lighthouse shots because each is so beautiful and unique. This one is fantastic; amazing color range, looks so soft yet is sharp as a tack, wonderful composition...thanks for treating us to such a lovely sight!
Very happy for you on this one. I knew it was beautiful and you doubted it :oP I say it a lot but you truly are great at having a vision for an image and not stoping until it is perfect. Congratulations on your red and new pb! Wishing you many more in the future.
Far, far OUT, Ken!! I just got home and see you have a RED! Congratulations - very cool!! And very well deserved, too. This image is stunningly beautiful. I bet you're buzzing right now - awesome.
Ohmygoodness, Ken! All your pier and lighthouse photos are spectacular, but you totally outdid yourself on this one. I'm still gasping in disbelief at how beautiful this is!
Great pastels colors. I'm not usually a big fan of overall blur effect, but it does work here. The thing that look a bit strange is the white stuff on the pier. I guess it may be a wave coming from the other side? but then it is kind frozen at a strange moment?
Lovely colors and soft texture, tho I must say it feels like I've seen this pier quite a few times before shot from basically the same angle. But this is still the best of the bunch that I can recall.
