I was not happy with this picture as I was a bit rushed. I actually tried to get a picture of the other dog in our family but none of them came out any where near this good. After I moved it to the website it looked washed out from the version I was editing. Also, the white background was a terrible contrast (or lack of contrast) to Spunky....
Oh well, fun dog.

Classic pose and expression. A cooperative model; I'm impressed with any shot of a Beagle where the nose isn't glued to the ground! Not sure you need quite so much negative space on the left, though.
The natual coloring of beagles is so unique, I feel that they deserve something other than white behind them. Perhaps a tan slightly lighter than the ears, or a deep hunter green or a burgundy or even something outside...not snow.
Lots of beagles! Beagles rule :) I know they can be a pain to photograph since they do not want to sit still. I wish this one was looking more towards the camera to get a better glimpse of the eyes. Or at least crop some of the dead space on the left to bring more focus to all of the beag.
