Exposure and focus seem a bit off, and read eye really distracts from the photo but the expression is great.

good idea,but flash ruined shot. An inexpensive wat to create diffused lighting is natural light thry window, or lamp w/o its shade. This shot could use some contrast adjustments in a photo program to rid the gray overlay.
