 It's rainy and dreary and FOGGY, which totally makes up for the rainy and dreary bit when it comes to taking pictures! This is a shot of the woods behind my house, taken from my deck. It's the end of a little finger of parkland that winds between housing developments, more or less following a streambed, and eventually connects up with one of the larger parks with a full-fledged lake.

I've seen foxes in the snow back there and lots of other wildlife, and in the summer when it's all leafed out (and also, as you can see, in winter when foggy) I can't see the houses on the other side of the woods. Very soothing view, except when we have high winds and I wonder just how stable some of those big trees are!

Mary, this is sooo pretty! the lighting and the color variations are inviting for a stroll, a hike or a reprieve. you captured this so nicely! excellent use of the light and DOF

What a great place to have behind your home. I would love to sit and just watch for the foxes and other animals.

yes your 'expert' edit really added a wonderful element to this photograph & i reckon it would be ok in an advanced edit .. you really only changed the tones not changed the overall appearance .. if ever in doubt i pm the site council .. :)
