Wow. What a story. Or stories. Standing on the beach in stormy weather is an awesome experience (in the literal sense of "creates awe"), and you managed to combine that with the emotional oomph of time spent with a parent (or grandparent). I find the contrast in the first two comments amusing. |

Good DoF control to give this a nice feeling. I like the exposure you choose. It is a near perfect image, there is something I think it needs, but I am not sure exactly. Still striking shot. |

To my eyes the dark processing suits the subject, and emphasises the scale and bleakness of the scene. The interaction between the adult and child sends out a spark of optimistic hope... |
