 Peoplemover, horizontal escalator, travellator ... magic carpet? Don't know what it is really called, but you step onto a moving ground, so you move faster - and endless conveyor belt ...

#5, so close to a ribbon, I am really happy how this entry did! First time I did a challenge where the score mainly went up (it was a 6.93x at a time though ... but had started around 6.6 ish)

Thank you for all your comments and scores (not a single 1 or 2?), most positive feedback and the few negative mainly constructive - something I can use to get better.

What I really like is that so many liked it without knowing what it was.

This was advanced editing, but I am not advanced, so it is really simple what I did:

Camera sitting on the floor of this travelator, used AV mode and got 30s exposure. Floor stays sharp as it moves with the camera, while surroundings blend together, but due to symmetry, lights, rail and so on stay visible.

Crop, shadows, sharpen, all done in Picasa only.

(Just entered the Contrast challenge, having used photoshop with a picture I really like, I am only just over 5.)

On DPC, you never know!

What a creative idea...I gave this a 9, really loved the quirky creativity. Perfect for a perspective image. I love the touch of colour in the centre

I really like the multiple vanishing points here, and the satisfying metallic colours. Good viewpoint too, if a little typical!
; )

My only gripe is the overpowering white light which, although dynamic, is just too dominant.

I'm not sure what it is, but this shot is very cool. If the bright line top left could be toned down it would help this shot by keeping the eye moving around. As it is, the eye is continually drwan to the bright line.
