some people said something about the red parts of the road. Those are cycling paths. Nearly every road has a small strip alongside of it for the cyclists. it is not partially desaturated, but it does look that way because of the snow.

Very nice. As soon as I saw this image I thought it looked familiar. I am sure it is the beginning of the road I often take as an alternative route from Uden to Veghel via Mariaheide. Tell me I'm wrong. :)

I have been itching to do a shot like this. Very nice composition. I live around here in Staten Island. One of the roads similar to this is Arden ave. some very Dutch names!.My problem is all that traffic regardless of the hour. This is how you do it, great exposure considering the low light, textures are nice and the contrast of the trees makes this.

The road lines really do lead the viewer in. I like the frost and muted tones very much but find the red verges quite distracting. I wonder if you could desaturate the red channel to fade them to grey and make them less of a focal point?

I really like this, but the red sidepaths (or whatever they are) are distracting to me - I wish the entire photo was B&W
