Blue ribbon, IMO. The depth of field is perfect, as is the composition. How can toothpicks, which look so mundane and similar from normal perspective, have such dissimilar qualities in texture and shape? My kind of photograph...10.

Yes....this is what I wish more photos in a texture contest looked like. Nice job, great composition and negative space. I don't really care for the border, but I will not mark you down for it.

This reminds me of something growing on a reef. Very cool perspective. Maybe a little more contrast?

The best so far of these rhythmic compositions. Real sense of texture in those wooden points, and a real sense of movement through the image. Sufficient regularity to work as a composition, and sufficient small differences to create some visual imterest. No fear of the simplicity of it, either. Good work.

+ One of the better photos of this challenge. Lots of textures and by choosing this POV the mundane :) tooth picks get something special. Excellent choice of using duotone.
- Can't think of any.

One of the better images posted, but some might see this more as pattern than texture per se.

I think this would look better in a warmer tone. But the Composition Idea & exposure are great

This is a cool shot. Almost looks like a flower opening up. Lighting is very good and shows the texture well. Composition, tone, and clarity make this shot work. This would have been good also for "Mundane"

Very clever, and nicely done. Almost a bit too bright maybe, but excellent job.

This is an imaginative take on the Challenge. Well seen and nicely photographed. One brightly colored toothpick or other object for contrast would make it extra special.
