this is katee on the firetrail this morning ... she kept on stopping to chew at her foot .. i was thinking she'd got a thorn or something coz she was limping too .. when i had a look i couldnt see anything .. she's ok now ..
this is a slightly different photograph ...
i had the worst fright today just after this photograph was taken ..
my camera just stopped working .. when i pressed down on the shutter nothing happened .. everything else seemed to be ok ... when i got home i changed over the batteries and turned it on and off etc which didnt help .. then a while later i checked it & it worked again ..
if anything happened to my camera it'd be like i'd lost a body part .. a body part thats necessary for my continued sanity .. it'd be a bummer to go back to the kodak DX6490 now ..
Poor Katee! I can relate -- we have goat heads (an evil weed that leaves behind stickers that can pierce a tire) in the huge 'untamed' part of the yard, and when the kitties stray out of the fenced area I keep weed-free they have to stop every few steps to pull out a sticker. You'd think they'd stay in the fenced yard, but NOOOO....
Anyway, I like how Katee is in the pool of light and how the trail fades into the forest, really gives a neat sense of depth!
Love your lighting and DOF, the background looks surreal! Nice job on the editing. Hope your camera is okay. Mine has been doing the same thing off and on lately. Scary, I know!
Whew!!! From the thumbnail I thought she was lick'n other stuff. Beautiful light on katee. You obviously get out there early. Love the trees in background with the arched opening. Makes me wonder what's up there. (Like I don't know it's more Firetrail!!) I like the soft processing.
Love that dog. What a sweetie. Nice photo. The background looks like a painted backdrop! Admit it, you are really living in a film studio in Los Angeles.
PS: Sorry to hear about your camera. I hope it was a one time aberration.
Fun photo of your dog! He must be a great companion on your walks! I look forward to your photos and what you find everyday. The path looks interesting.
