Cute image.
A little unsharp & doesn't fit the theme. (I'm sure I'm the first one to say that too!)

What kind of garage art is this?? This is a disrespect to the challenge.. think next time before you submit a photo!
02/08/2004 11:28:01 PM
Adorable...but what does this have to do with garage art?
02/08/2004 09:46:48 PM
Maybe he is in the garage..
02/07/2004 08:38:55 PM
What does this have to do with the theme?

The image seems very soft / out of focus. The whites on the back of the boy's shirt are burnt out. I like the formal elements of the image, but they are weekend by a few things. The boys head is cropped RIGHT where it meets the top of the image. This is a no no and creates tension and makes my eye leave the picture. It should be cropped (IMO) either further down or farther up. From the angle you took it, it would be hard to get the pillar vertical and the boy still looking natural but i think it would be worth a try. I KNOW pillars are vertical.. and it 'doest really work' to have them on a 'slight' slant ... but good eye for something interesting..and good luck further. I DID like the image, despite the problems i had with it.. and remember these are just MY thoughts... not everyones.

Interesting shot, though it is really hard to compensate for a shadow cast from direct sunlight. I'd like to read your approach to the challenge when the voting period is over.

What has this to do with the challenge Garage Art?
02/07/2004 03:46:21 AM
Nice looking child but garage art????
02/06/2004 06:16:24 PM
Is dad suppose to be in the garage or do you store this little guy in the garage?
02/05/2004 07:11:15 AM
Interesting composition (would like more light on the child's face) Scored lower because I can't find the connection to the theme. Sorry

Garage art?
02/04/2004 11:05:52 PM
I can't see how this photo relates to the challenge topic.

Cute little fella. I think you should use him as a model if he'll hold still. Darling boy. This shot is over exposed and a bit out of focus.
02/04/2004 05:52:04 PM
What's it got to do with a garage...?
02/04/2004 01:01:27 PM
not properly exposed - should be able to see kids face. does not fit subject well.
02/04/2004 01:00:55 PM
Come on, GARAGE ART????? 1
02/04/2004 12:07:37 PM
I can't find any way this satisfies the subject, sorry.
02/04/2004 06:30:54 AM
I´m trying to understand what it can be related with garages.
02/04/2004 01:14:21 AM
sorry but i dont see any relevance to the challenge subject, other than that it is a cute picture...
02/04/2004 01:02:12 AM
I hope he's in the garage!. cute kid, seems like he's kinda afraid or something.
02/04/2004 12:08:54 AM
I guess I'm confused as to how this is considered Garage Art. In my opinion, that would be art...created in the garage. This doesn't appear to be anything that would normally be found in the garage (I hope) and it doesn't appear to be IN a garage. The shot is cute...sure, but just not right for this challenge.
As for the photo itself (trying to be helpful here) I think the face of the boy is too blurry, needs more focus, and I don't like the shadow on the boys face.
