Back from holiday and catching up with a few photos when I came across this one. I love the composition, I have to say I got the angel wings straight away but it wasnt till I read your comment that I twigged the halo

Great eye!!!!!

This is so brilliant and smart, I'm not surprised about the tepid score. In my book this should have been in the top 10.

e301 told me you missed the decisive moment, that she's half a step away from where the wing would truly seem connected to her back, but I like the slight disconnection, and I like being able to see the full curve of the wing and how it interacts with the curve of her back. It is a conceptual connection. He may, after all, be right, but I'll never know. I only have what is in front of me, and I dig it.

You know, I was thinking of not giving you the blue after what Ed said, but really the man should have his own ribbons. Seriously. I would love to see his choices each week. For now, we're stuck with mine:

Oh it really would have been cool if you had caught her a split second earlier. Now it's just discarded wings lol.

Very cute idea - not the best execution in my opinion - parts of the picture are very dark and her feet are blurred.

If only, if only you were a split second quicker ... If only. I would love the double connection with the icons of saintliness. Very nearly very neat work, but in this moment, I think you've actually just fractionally missed the chance.

This is a great interpretation! Great shadows and great contrast!

FUNNY! Great capture! :) Tighter Crop might have helped the score, but then you might have lost the sense of Place that I am sure you wanted...Sooo, It's a Catch 22! :/

Oh, the...come-togetherness of it all!

lol good idea!! I'd maybe suggest cropping out the top. plus your subject's face is slightly in shadow. Very good though.

Clever! Wondering if you saw the wing and set up to capture an 'angel,' or if you snapped the shot and only noticed the wing later.

The shot seems to have been taken a fraction of a second too late. Would have liked to see the wing connected to the subject's back

What a great eye you have... Her wings, her halo and the title are inspired - really meets the spirit of this challenge I think - 9
