I keep coming back to this shot, and find it amusing that someone questions it's validity because it looks too real. That's the paranormal paradox. "Submit proof or I won't believe it." or "I can't believe it because it's too convincing."

At first I noticed the figure in the center, but as I revisit the shot it begins to feel like a room full of people. I see six distinct figures, including an old western type in the upper left corner. It's rare that I pick up anything in a "ghost" photo, but this one is swarming with personalities. Whether or not they are real, it is just so interesting to look at. |

I wouldn't know this was a portrait without the title. But with it, I feel a sense of loss, like this is a 75-year-old family picture that's been so damaged by time (and maybe water) that we've lost that part of our history.

I'm struggling to see the portrait elements in it, but as an abstract it's really nice.

Reminds me of that "drawing with sand" thing. So full of details and subtle.

Wow! Even I wouldn't mind my photo taken for a photo like this.

I love the copper tones. It makes it so rich! I do see them too :)

OOOH - makes me think of people who see Jesus in a stone or tortilla (remember that? somebody actually thought his face appeared in one LOL). I like the swirl in the middle over "grandpa." Almost like tire marks when they swerve on a road to avoid something. The coppery tone is perfect.

excellent tones & movement within the blur. at first glance, it brought to mind an image of an old blacksmith's shop.
